Smashing Your Monitor is a Bad Idea

{{MLP}} AN: I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M DOING. This is a ditty I wrote about writer's block, because I am so far into the landfill that I JUST PUNCHED OUT A RAT. Ahem. Here ya go. I stared at the blank screen. Nothing. Not even a single word. Normally I see little thought bunnies in my head, hopping around, pouncing, playing, but right then, my mind was a bloody desert. Tumbleweeds replaced the cute bunnies. Oy vey. I turned the volume up, hoping to get an idea. Still nothing. It was the mental equivalent of dragging my mind across sand paper. Then lighting it on fire and throwingnit off a tall building. The lack of activity was exhausting

I sat down and watched the opening ceremony today. It was, honestly, completely and utterly awesome. Not the petty type of awesome used today to mean "cool" and "rad". I mean the original meaning of the word.  It all brought tears to my eyes when I realized that, for just a few minutes, my father had shut up and my mother had stopped petting the cat. It felt like you could hear the world then. It felt like peace. For all of you fools and you idiots that say "Oh, the world wasn't at peace, there is still crime and war!", I have no respect.
